"Korea Beauty and Cosmetics Show". The future of the beauty industry.

The 2021 Korea Beauty & Cosmetics Show, which was held at Songdo Convensia from December 9th to 11th, consisted of seminars, business programs, theme special halls, and exhibitions.

K-Beauty is leading the global trend thanks to the development of innovative products and the spread of the Korean Wave. South Korea has grown to third place in cosmetics exporters around the world after France and the United States. Last year, cosmetics exports amounted to $7.57 billion, and the beauty industry is evaluated as a filial piety industry with high growth and contribution in the health care sector.

According to the Korea Health Industry Promotion Agency, the size of the Korean cosmetics market is expected to grow to $14 billion by 2026.

In line with the changing beauty industry environment, the exhibition also prepared special beauty tech trend halls such as AI skin measurement and home care devices, online marketing, and seminar programs related to trends.

With the development of technologies such as big data and AI, domestic skin diagnosis services are expanding in collaboration with overseas beauty brands, said an official at Chowis Company, a skin diagnosis system developer.

With the recent rise of ethical consumption methods, vegan certified products that do not conduct animal testing without using animal raw materials such as "To Vegan" have also gained popularity among consumers.

In addition, specialized business consultations such as MD consultations and investment consultations from large retailers such as Lotte Home Shopping and Hyundai Home Shopping were held to support participating companies to pioneer new markets.
