The 2021 Seoul Mobility Show was held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, starting with Media Day on the 25th. On Media Day, major carmakers such as Hyundai Motor Group, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Porsche, and Maserati held a briefing and introduced new cars such as future mobility strategies, electric vehicles, and self-driving cars. The Seoul Mobility Show will be open to the public from the 26th and will be held until the 5th of next month.

Hyundai Mobis introduced the next-generation automobile wheel "e-corner module," which is considered a key technology for future mobility. The e-corner module is a technology that combines braking, steering, suspension, and driving systems of a vehicle into one wheel. Using this technology, the wheel rotates up to 90 degrees, so it is possible for the vehicle to move left and right or rotate in place.

The topic of the carmakers who participated in this year's Seoul Mobility Show was definitely "eco-friendly mobility." Mercedes-Benz Korea unveiled a new pure electric vehicle under the theme of Leading Electricity at the mobility show. Asia's first three models of "The New EQE," "The New Mercedes-AMGEQS 534MATIC+," and "Concept EQG" were unveiled, and two models of "The New EQS" and "The New EQB" were unveiled for the first time in Korea.

Jung Man-ki, chairman of the organizing committee of the Seoul Mobility Show, said, "The automobile industry is facing a major transformation period," adding, "The direction of the transformation is the spread of electric vehicles, self-driving cars, and various new mobility." The mobility industry will expand from automobiles to urban air transportation (UAM), robots, and drones, and the popularization of mobility as a service will be strengthened, he said. "All of these changes will be technological innovation, and the Seoul Mobility Show will be reborn to promote industrial ecosystem innovation."
